30 days and counting down

Let's be excited and countdown the days until Christmas. After all, there is only one month to go. And now, say goodbye to my right mind and hello to a confused list of priorities. On one hand, I have homework to do and lessons to do study. On the other, end-of-the-month, payday and Christmas sales are up and it's time for the annual presents shopping. My wallet is about to die from money hemorrhage, if it is not already dead.

Start of Ber

Is it September already? Man, that was fast!

It feels as if my college days started just about yesterday. And somehow it is true, because of the the short vacation due to the recent long weekend. You have got to love national holidays.

Con-si-der

When you really want to sleep early, but your dorm won't let you because it is Friday night, what do you do?

I twist and turn in bed. Somehow, it was still relatively quiet. After a while, the talking turns to shouting, the chuckles turn to boisterous laughing and the music keeps on growing louder and louder.

I try to keep my eyes closed, my body relaxed and my mind free from curses. And the shouts, the laughter and the music just keep on going. And questions race about my mind. Isn't it night time already? Isn't it time for people like themselves to sleep? Don't they consider other people who really really really want to sleep so badly? The other people who had not sleep before midnight for several nights and the only chance she'll be having is on Friday night?

Thursday, June 2

Hello June!

June starts today and the first day of classes is just around the corner. That's right, my school starts 13 days from now and I am totally not prepared for it yet. Well, I think I'm not, my mother says otherwise. Lately, I have been trying avoiding talking about school, college life and living far away from home again. (I studied in Iloilo as a high school student; now I'm off to Manila for my tertiary education.) But alas, it is inevitable with parents and relatives such as mine.

So to keep my mind (and this post) off the said topics, I have decided to share today's comic from xkcd.com.

"haha!" to the caption of today's comic (c) xkcd.com
