Aklan Piña and Fiber Festival 2012

Look what I found today!
See my shadow?

Here is  one of my favorite annual events: the Aklan Piña and Fiber Festival. As seen in the poster, it will be held in the Capitol grounds the whole week next week. The Festival includes trade fairs, food booths, nightly entertainments and a whole lot more Aklan can offer. It also celebrates Aklan's separation from Capiz. (FYI, Aklan has only been a province for 56 years as of April this year.) The trade fair showcases the products of Aklan from fresh fruits, vegetables and meats to processed foods, from indigenous raw materials to handicrafts and clothes. All of these and more can be seen and bought from the booths of LGUs and Small and Medium Enterprises.

Furthermore, the Tsibugan sa Kapitolyo will never be missed as the nights full of entertainment, food and beer drinks. There are nights with live bands, dance numbers and comedians to get you up an appetite for some of the best restaurants in town. You may want to try some inihaw, or pasta, or just whatever. Anything's cooking at the Tsibugan sa Kapitolyo.

I will be there almost everyday of the week in the Rosafoods booth, where I'll be "working" as my summer job. See you there!
