And the World Go Boom!

DJ Earworm recently released his music mash-up for 2011 called World Go Boom. Yehey!

I got hooked to DJ Earworm's mixes since last year's Blame it on the Pop. What can I say? He transforms your favorite songs into a whole new piece that you will love even more. I even enjoyed songs I did not notice much because of the mash-ups. And with the mixed music videos, you will enjoy watching DJ Earworm's work again and again (and again and again...). An eargasmic work of art, indeed.

Here's the World Go Boom video from YouTube. Enjoy!

You can download DJ Earworm's creations from his website at Earworm Mash-ups.

Christmas and Tidbits

Today, I welcome December with arms wide open.

Parol! (c) mellosum.seesaa.net
The start of December signals the start of the Christmas season, the season of giving. It also signals the end of the year and the start of another. And the best of all, it is when kids and kids at heart start being good and kind to everyone. Now this is why this is my favorite time of the year.

Moving on...

Kiddie-Party-themed Acquaintance Party

Last night, I attended the kiddie-party-themed acquaintance party of our corridor.

Yes, it is already the second semester. Yes, it is a little too late to "get to know" each other in our floor. But, surprisingly, there were people that I only met as a co-corridor last night. It was both weird and satisfying. Weird because we have been passing by each other without eye contact and never knowing what we have in common. Satisfying because I met new people and not just new faces. At least I am now sure that I am in the midst of more awesome people, right? As I always say, better late than never.

First floor girls kids again for the night.

Congrats, again, UP Pep!

I just read that the Philippine Cheerleading Team won third place in the mixed cheer category in the 2011 Cheerleading World Championship held in Hong Kong over the weekend. The UP Pep Squad led the Philippine team and this is their second win for the year. I hope that in the next CWC, the Philippines will bag the championship. FTW!

Here is the performance of the Philippine Team. Enjoy!

The UP Pep Squad also participated in other categories. Studio 23 and Balls will air this year's CWC, according to ABS-CBN Sports' Facebook page.

Congratulations UP Pep Squad! Congratulations Team Philippines!

BTW, I got them from CoolBuster.net and IAmJammed.com.

It's My Fifth

What's supposed to happen now?

UP has welcomed me and my fellow freshmen to our second semester in college. But unlike the last semester, we finally experienced the reality of enrollment for every isko. But if you want to know, you have to go through it first. I just think that it is harder to understand something that is explained than something that is experienced. But at the end of the day, the feeling of satisfaction after being officially enrolled is just ecstatic.

And yes, my Form 5 was signed by none other than Doc Q. FTW!

I got paid zero!

As I Rode The Jeepney

I had a classmate in a social science class who studies Malikhaing Pagsulat or Creative Writing in Filipino. One time, our professor asked her for her routine when she writes. She told the class that when she rides jeepneys, her creative juices flow more easily than when she is sitting down on a desk with a clean piece of paper waiting to be dirtied. She said it works in two ways: she gets to go where she needs to go while efficiently brainstorm, both to her advantage.

My train of thought was disrupted upon remembering that class. I believe my classmate was right. Jeepney rides may be conducive for sleeping to tired bodies, but there are people, like me, stare into space unconsciously watching their lives pass by. Then all of a sudden, they find themselves contemplating about everything under the sun.

Happy Halloween!

I still have my plate full of unfulfilled activities I wanted to do this semestral break. Unfortunately, I will be flying back to Manila tomorrow so everything will be put on hold until Christmas or-- even worse-- summer. But for now, as long as I am with my family for the next [less than] 24 hours, I am happy.

So here's what I have been up to for past ten days.

Last Monday, I celebrated my birthday, of course! It was an "exclusive" party. I only had my family and relatives come. I didn't throw a big birthday bash because I only turned seventeen.
I made a wish and blew the candle. My cake was a yummy Sans rival from Goldilocks.

It's A Big Deal

In high school, I studied two provinces away from home. For four years, I have to ride a bus every weekend from home to school and vice versa. For four years going back and forth, I got used on riding buses all by myself. No big deal.

Now that I'm a college student, I study in Quezon City. Just last week, my final exams week ended, thus starting my sem-break. For me to go home, I have to either fly or swim to reach Kalibo.

Last Saturday, I checked in at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport by myself. I waited at the pre-departure area by myself. I flew on a plane all by myself. I arrived at the Kalibo International Airport and got my luggage by myself. Finally, my parents fetched me from the airport. Finally, I was home.

Wow, Just Wow

I wasn't really expecting to see this figure so soon on my blog's statistics. Reaching a thousand pageviews was swell enough for me, but the extra 17 is heart warming. Okay, maybe it is not as big and awesome a number as a hundred or more over a thousand, but this blog is not as popular as many others. So a few steps from 1000 is already a big deal.

1017. I'm still awestruck.

Bitter, and at the same time, Sweet

I really really really miss writing for my blog. October is half-way through but I have not posted any update of my life. Or even a fictional story that proves my literary ability.

Alas, I have been very busy with college especially that the end is near- that is, the semester's end is near. A lot of paper works and final exams to study for made me focused more on my academics that, somehow, it made me a dull girl. This week, although my semester has not officially ended yet, others' already had and a lot of my dorm-mates and block-mates went to their homes in the provinces. And because the sense of vacation is contagious, I felt it. Unfortunately, I still have an exam tomorrow and three papers to write.

Oh the pain! Oh the cruelty! Oh the prolonging of my agony!

But, lo and behold, I still found time to change my blog layout from this:

October is...

It is really hard to say whether I like this month or not.

For one thing, most of the submission deadlines for acad work is in the coming days. I also have several long examinations this coming week. And since the semester is coming to a close, the final exams are also scheduled this month. Talk about a hellish month.

But then again...

To my favorite person in the world!
P.S. I badly need Photoshop.

UP Fight!

I finally have a school to cheer on and they are the winning team, in the cheerdance competition of course.

Let's give it up to the University of the Philippines Pep Squad for bagging another championship in the Samsung UAAP Cheerdance Competition (CDC)! I am so proud of the UP Pep Squad, of being part of the UP community and of myself for choosing UP, in the first place.

So here's a post dedicated to the UP Pep Squad. UP Fight!

Click on the picture to get the full effect of a .gif file. I got this from Tumblr (c) to its rightful owner
The whole squad went blonde for this year's performance, which was Madonna-inspired. For weeks, I have seen the cheerleaders and their -dos looked so stunning and striking, even from afar.

My Rock Star Teacher

"You 'kinda' like his discussion today. Just kinda?" Val quipped at me.

"Well, yeah. I guess so," I replied.

"You have got to be kidding me. I like all of his discussions! Social Science 2 is my favorite class and, yes, he is my favorite teacher. And you just 'kinda' like today's discussion?"

Our Social Science 2 class just finished. We were walking out the Palma Hall building as we talked. I have to get to another building soon because I have a long examination waiting for me on the next period. As I walked down the avenue, I can't help myself from replaying my conversation with Val.

Of Exams

I am (brain) dead for the night.

Today, I took my second long examinations in Chemistry 16 in the morning and Trigonometry late in the afternoon. Chemistry is considered as one of my major subjects, weighing a hefty five units. The long exams I have taken with this subject would be worth more than a hundred points. On the other hand, Trigonometry is lighter in weight and has exams worth just about 50 points. But do not be fooled by the point systems. Both subjects are as complex as ever.

Start of Ber

Is it September already? Man, that was fast!

It feels as if my college days started just about yesterday. And somehow it is true, because of the the short vacation due to the recent long weekend. You have got to love national holidays.

A Taste of Chicken ala Carte

Chicken ala Carte presented a glimpse of the life of hunger- and poverty-stricken Filipinos in the face of globalization. It focused on the portion of society that was forsaken of the luxuries of life. It was based on the real life stories of thousands of Filipinos, especially those who are urban poor.

This independent short film was awarded as the Most Popular Short Film under the theme "Food, Taste and Hunger" during the 56th Berlin International Film Festival. The film was written, photographed and directed by Ferdinand Dimadura. He also composed, arranged and performed the original music in it.

I wanna come home

I am freaking excited for the weekend! You know why? It is the long weekend of the year and I am going home with my sister. Aklan, here we come!

And since I am freaking excited about it, I keep singing songs with "home" in the lyrics.

Post-Birthday

Does it really take two days to rest after an exhausting half-day meeting with best friends?

Yes, it does. My body is still so tired but my mind keeps on bugging me to write about Saturday's events. It's as if my mind would explode if another minute flies off without a word said about it. And body aches and pains do not really matter because I enjoyed every minute that Met-Met, Diana and I were together last Saturday. (Though I really wish I can get another day without classes so I can just tuck myself into bed.)

As a post-celebration for my two best friends' birthdays, we invited our high school classmates and new college friends to meet and eat in SM Megamall last week. All of them RSVP-ed they could not make it and it made me feel bad. We have prepared ourselves, and our wallets, to accommodate several people in a special restaurant only to be put down. On the bright side, we were so lucky that we did not have to spend more to treat other people. We are only obliged to treat ourselves. Now that's what I call a good time.

Wednesday, August 10

Cheers to Raj

I make it a point to recognize friends who still have time to write outside of academic requirements. They continue to amaze me, especially as they juggle academics (which by itself is already difficult), organizations, family and friends.

Three months ago, I congratulated a certain high school batch-mate for having her essay published in a national newspaper (Philippine Star). She won in the paper's writing contest so her article got printed.

As I read through some news feeds in Facebook yesterday, I was amazed to find out that another batch-mate did the same feat.

Wednesday, August 3

Supposedly

She is supposed to be my batch-mate in UP. She is supposed to be studying right now, like us, for a college degree. And maybe she is supposed to be in one of my classes. I'm not sure. For all I know, she is not supposed to be carrying the burden of a baby in her womb yet.

I suppressed a gasp upon hearing this from her mother. I continued to eat the hotdog sandwich I just bought from their food stall. Her mother was talking to a friend, and, yeah, I have been eavesdropping. I am sorry for myself for having bad manners, but I am more sorry for this girl who is about my age and already practiced procreation as recreation.

Monday, August 1

Welcome, August

August is a month of celebrations and I can't wait to par-teh!

My best friends and I have been planning to celebrate a triple birthday bash for ourselves. I have not planned anything yet, but I think they already have everything ironed out. One of my best friends is so excited that she's counting down the days to when we will meet. I can't wait to see them again, after almost five months.

Also, I, with my high school classmates, celebrated my high school classmate's birthday today (redundant, no?) in KFC in Katipunan. Afterwards, we went in and around Ateneo de Manila University, thanks to our former schoolmates who are now studying there.

Photo ops after eating at KFC.

Con-si-der

When you really want to sleep early, but your dorm won't let you because it is Friday night, what do you do?

I twist and turn in bed. Somehow, it was still relatively quiet. After a while, the talking turns to shouting, the chuckles turn to boisterous laughing and the music keeps on growing louder and louder.

I try to keep my eyes closed, my body relaxed and my mind free from curses. And the shouts, the laughter and the music just keep on going. And questions race about my mind. Isn't it night time already? Isn't it time for people like themselves to sleep? Don't they consider other people who really really really want to sleep so badly? The other people who had not sleep before midnight for several nights and the only chance she'll be having is on Friday night?

Saturday, July 16

Overheard

A little boy passed by me at McDonald's and was muttering under his breath what seemed to be curses. Walking next to him was his mother. She ushered her little boy to a vacant seat.

"What's wrong, dear?" the mother asked once they were seated. He just groaned.

"Are you mad at me?" the mother asked without a hint of anger in her tone and gave him a smile. That soothing kind of smile that shows 100% maternal love.

College Life Month-sary

I am celebrating my first month as a college student in the University of the Philippines today. I am proud to say that I have learned a lot in a month’s time. Therefore, I will have a very long list of topics to study for the final exams of each subject by the end of the semester. But I won’t be dealing with the pressures of the acads right now, though I know a lot of people who will relate.

What I really want to do is to share my thoughts about the people who stay in front of the classroom and talk about anything under the sun with conviction and you just can't stop yourself from listening.

Since I am a Chem-major student, I am supposed to enjoy my Chemistry class, right? Quite frankly, I am. And that's without the bias of my major.

"Itlog Pugo"

I have always been fond of eating itlog pugo or quail eggs. Every time my mom and I chance upon a vendor, we always buy a pack. Once at home, I would effortlessly crack the eggs and pop them one by one into my mouth. Well, I often share the itlog pugo with my brother because he would be so annoying around me. The only way to stop him would be giving him a piece or two of what I’m eating.

Ever since God-knows-when, I have eaten quail eggs but have not asked if it is good for me. Or how can I make them tastier? Or where do the vendors get their supply of eggs? Or how can the mommy quails survive without their children? It never occurred to me that one day I will be looking for the answers to these questions.

When my adventure in Research began last year, I wandered mostly on topics on herbal medicines. They were the most common things in the Philippines, yet only little to no scientific proof of their power is known. In my proposal’s early stage, I have been pretty excited just thinking about what I would actually discover from these folkloric remedies.

Kolehiyala na me

The time just keeps on passing!

I have been a college student for three weeks. And I have not thought of blogging the whole time, until today. Ha!

College life has not been a breeze though. I have to brisk walk from one building to another because I only have a ten-minute grace period, lest I want to be marked tardy by attendance-paranoid teachers. Maybe you are wondering why I walk instead of riding a jeepney (UP campus is so big that we have our very own jeepneys with routes just around the campus). Well, it is a hassle to wait for one and get stuck in traffic and panic along the way. I feel better if I walk as fast as I could. At least somehow I am giving a lot of effort to attend classes.

One Two Three Shots

Leaving home to study someplace else can hurt a little, mostly emotional. But I did not expect that it could be very painful, especially on the arm!

Thank the cosmos for reminding my mom it's high time for my annual vaccinations. Two days ago, I got my Influenza shot with my brother at our  (yes, his and still my) pediatrician. I was the first to get shot to give Jommel an impression that it does not hurt. Unfortunately, there was a lot of drama when it was his turn, but that's another story.

No Choice

I watch Ruby as she washes the dishes. Get a dirty plate from the left side, soap it, rinse it and stack on the right. She does it a few more times. Then it's the silverware's turn, which makes a lot of jingling noise. Next, the glassware. She puts them all properly in the rack dry and wipes the rest of the sink and the counter.

I just looked at her, not even daring to start a conversation.

In my mind I think of what my father told me. She is just my age. Like me, she graduated last March from high school. However, she does not plan to go to college. Instead, she would like to work. Slash that. She needed to work.

To My Brother

Back in high school, traveling back to Iloilo means not seeing, feeling, hearing, smelling and tasting (say what?) my beloved family. Well, slash hearing. I can hear them every night whenever my mother calls me at night.

For four years, I got used to this get up. I was away from my comfort zone. I was away from my family, just like my sister. I have been following her foot steps, you see. We both studied in Iloilo and now I will be studying in Manila, just as she did. And boy did I miss her, especially when she only gets to go home from Manila on short vacations. Now that we have a little brother, the bunso (youngest sibling) who actually is bigger than me at the waistline, I wonder if he fills the same way I did when I was his age.

First Day

Today marks a threshold for most of us. Today, my high school batch-mates go from seniors to freshies. Freshies, they will become, in college. It is they who go first because today is the start of their school days in their respective universities. Mine, by the way, will start next week. I still have a little bit of vacation time left.

For four years, we held our heads high as we held the name of Philippine Science High School-Western Visayas higher. Now, we march on the hallways (and the streets) of our new university campuses to meet new friends, teachers and adventures.

To my dear batch-mates, Godspeed everyone!

Alas, I am sentimental right now. But who is to blame? We will begin our lives in college this month, a life that will shape what we will truly become. Someone even told me that I will experience real, hard life as I study in the Diliman campus of the University of the Philippines because it is the very microcosm of the Philippine society. With that and other unsolicited advices, how else can I not be prepared to face my future? Well, who knows?

Book-sale

Our house is a library with volumes of encyclopedias, textbooks, novels and self-help books. It's a wonder why I only started to really fancy books after I graduated from elementary. But when I did, I started my own collection of books, adding to the rising piles at home.

It started with Harry Potter and the Order Of the Phoenix. The fifth installment was sent to me as a birthday present from my parents' friend. I only knew the HP movies back then so my sister told me not to read it. I should start with the first book, The Sorcerer's Stone, though I have seen the movie. So she gave me the first two books, then I bought the next two, all in paperback. When the sixth and seventh installments were released, we bought them hardbound. That's when I really started, not just to read, but to collect books, especially novels.

Of Love

Yesterday, I finished reading Of Love and Other Demons by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It has similarities with the movie Love and Other Drugs starring Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhal. The book must have been its inspiration, but I won't dwell here.

Of Love and Other Demons is about a tragic love story between a rebellious, copper-haired girl, who was raised by her family's slaves, and a bookworm of a priest, who was sent to "fix" her. This happened in the coastal tropics of the South American seaport during the colonial times.

Thursday, June 2

Hello June!

June starts today and the first day of classes is just around the corner. That's right, my school starts 13 days from now and I am totally not prepared for it yet. Well, I think I'm not, my mother says otherwise. Lately, I have been trying avoiding talking about school, college life and living far away from home again. (I studied in Iloilo as a high school student; now I'm off to Manila for my tertiary education.) But alas, it is inevitable with parents and relatives such as mine.

So to keep my mind (and this post) off the said topics, I have decided to share today's comic from xkcd.com.

"haha!" to the caption of today's comic (c) xkcd.com

Fair Trade Fair

I did not let summer end without going to a beach. Just last weekend, I went to Boracay, but vacationing was not at the top of my priorities while in the island.

I was a saling-pusa (tag-along) as my mom, my aunt and a staff from our family business manned our booth in a trade fair in Paradise Garden Resort Hotel and Convention Center, beachfront of Boracay. The Advocate of Philippine Fair Trade, Inc. (APFTI) initiated this trade fair in celebration of the World Fair Trade Day. It is supposedly celebrated on the second week of May, but the event was held last May 28 to 30. It is the first time for both APFTI and Boracay to host an event such as this. And I'm proud to be a part of this milestone for fair traders.

I rode the road

It's dusk. Lampposts are turned on. The air is filled with tiny insects. They annoy me as I pass by them. I'm speeding up to avoid the little critters. Damn, I hate the feeling of bugs crawling on me. "But who cares?" I told myself for a moment. "I'm riding my bike and no one's going to stop me!"

I can feel the cool breeze touch my face. It becomes cooler as I go faster. The wheels keep turning even though I stopped pedaling for a while now. That's how fast I was going.

Summer Bike Training

My butt hurts. My legs have a lot of scratches. My hands feel worse each day. It's evident that I've been learning how to ride a bicycle.

Ever since I came home from Manila, I have been asking my parents to buy me a bicycle. I wanted to learn, before I was too old to do so. And because I was (slightly) intimidated by the people who were riding around the university campus. Know-how on riding a bike can be an advantage for me if ever I get one in Manila. I wouldn't have to ride a jeepney regularly, and I'll be having a pretty stout wallet.

New bike + McDo commercial

Although I had my first bike when I was seven years old, I did not learn. And I was stuck dreaming about riding on the streets and tasting the cool breeze on my face.

Who says I can't ride a bike to save my life? Oh yeah, that was me. But anyway, I am now capable to ride a bicycle. It's high time I made my summer productive, no?

Kudos to Mia

Summer is the time to enjoy the sun. It is when many families go on vacation trips around the Philippines and even abroad. Children play with neighbors and friends and make the streets their playground. Youth my age would go out with peers to the malls, restaurants and just around the town. Of course the computer gaming stations will not be left unmentioned. Yes, enjoy your freedom, guys. It's vacation time as it should be.

Normally, my summer is spent in front of the computer updating with friends, writing random blogs, posting pictures in Facebook, blah blah blah. Other times I surf the idiot box for a good watch. They are all for killing time. Yes, I really have to get a life. But wouldn't it be great if you've done something productive this summer? Like, I don't know, create an article and win a writing contest held by a newspaper that's being published nation-wide?

Someone I know sent her article to the Philippine Star and it got published today. I just want to shout out a big congratulations to Mia Judicpa for a great job! It proves that us Philippine Science High School students do not only have the scientific intellect that we are being praised for, but also the capability to write our hearts out and be heard. Again Mia, congratulations and I hope to read more of your works in the printed publications. ;-)

Epic Reply

Speaking of childhood, there is this nagging memory that wants to be published. As a child, I would be so disobedient that my father would be so full of me . One time, he pulled me aside to scold me.

Tatay: (angry voice) Nadya, akala ko ba naman smart ka? Gamitin mo naman utak mo. [Nadya, I thought you were smart? Try using your head, why don't you?.] Be smart!

Me: (talking in between sobs) Bakit, 'Tay? Hindi kasi ako Smart kasi Globe ako, diba? [Why, 'Tay? I'm not Smart because I'm Globe, right?]

I was talking about the cellular phone network providers available back then. My father was dumbstruck. I was serious in answering him, but I think my father just could not scold me seriously after what I said. And honestly, I did not intend to kid around especially when my father gets angry at me.

Never have I done a stunt like this again. And never shall I wish for it. But hey, I got to be a stand up comedienne as a child and I'm proud of it. Sort of.

Science of Growing Up

My mom arrived home with a "book". She went to my brother's school (also my old elementary school) to have him enrolled and came home with one of my old projects.

"Nakita raw habang naglilinis. Buti na lang pumunta ako doon kanina (It was found while they were cleaning up. It's a good thing that I went there,)," my mom told me.

The book was sort of a Science project when I was in sixth grade, if I'm not mistaken. It's full of pictures that was not taken by a digital camera. Yes, it was the old point-and-shoot film camera that caught my childhood in action. There were also captions which I think my sister helped me wrote. And because I'm really happy to have it back, I will share a few pages of my homemade book.

i loved dancing ever since

Follow through

Three nights back home is still similar when we were in Makati. I guess my brother still likes the idea of freezing in his sleep, thanks to the air conditioner.

This summer has been pretty warm, or rather, very hot in the National Capital Region, and in most parts of Luzon for that matter. I have been sweating at daytime the whole duration of our stay, and so was the rest of my family. To cool down, I am always near the electric fan. Sometimes, I follow the fan's head as it rotates just to stop sweating. But nighttime is different.

My Sister's Netbook

My family has been subscribed to postpaid plans of Smart Telecommunications since my sister was in high school. Except for me. I'm subscribed to Sun Cellular, baby!

Anyway, I have seen many kinds of cellular phones because of their subscription. From the big and bulky Stone Age mobile phones, to the sleek and chic slide, touch screen and even camera phones of the future. And apparently, it does not stop there! We go to tablet phones and even netbooks waiting to be owned.
Samsung N150. (c) cnet.com.au

Yes, my sister is still subscribed to Smart and she got a netbook upon renewing her contract. She's in Manila so I have the privilege to set up her netbook before the seven-day warranty ends. It's the Samsung N150 with Windows 7 for OS. Plus it is bundled with a cute little Samsung phone. Unfortunately for my sister, the only available unit is black, instead of the other cute colors such as pink, yellow and blue.

My father, half-kidding, told me that they should not have bought me a new laptop and instead just waited for their contract renewal. Frankly, I'm happily contented with my little Acer Aspire One netbook. I'm a proud owner of an Acer notebooks that was featured in a newspaper.

Pinoy Henyo and Geography

My family always grab a chance to watch Pinoy Henyo at a noontime show, especially my father. The game really makes you use every neuron inside your head just  to come up with simple words as "book", "fork" or "laptop". Being fans of the game, my father and I would sometimes try our own mental capabilities if we can guess what the other wrote on the forehead.

One time, we watched Pinoy Henyo and one of the game words was "Negros Oriental". I have an idea about it since I spent 16 years of my life in Aklan, in Visayas. I could have enumerated all the Visayan provinces there is, if I were the contestant. But I wasn't. Unfortunately, the contestant just kept shouting "Aklan?" and "Marinduque?" and "Boracay?" and her partner was already panicky and kept answering "NO!"

Kid's party

After posting Parties on May 1, I was able to get the pictures of the parties from my aunt's cam. And now, after agonizing without Internet connection, I post a few pictures of the celebrations on the first of May. Enjoy!
My brother Jommel with his meal with lots of sweets!

A Parable the Priest told one Sunday

We went to mass today. I liked the story that the priest shared during his homily that I really want to share it. I'm not going to write exactly what he said because I do not have the skills to do that. What I'm going to do is to translate his Tagalog story into English and I promise to make it as precise as possible. It goes like this:

There is a rich business man walking on the seashore. After a while, he saw a fisherman lying under some trees. The rich man was shocked to see such lazy man. He called out, "My good man! Why are you lying around like that?"

"I am resting," the fisherman answered.

Summer Sun experience

I missed the Internet! It has been exactly 12 days since I last surfed. And that was when I speedily wrote a late introduction of myself.

I am not at home so I did not get to use our Unlimited Broadband Internet connection for almost two weeks. Fortunately, I have a cousin here who has a Sun Broadband dongle, thank goodness! After using it for a while, I have noticed a few good points about Sun.

(forgotten) Intro of Me

Though I suck in introducing my self, I feel that it is proper for readers to have a little knowledge about me. Here goes.

The name is Nadya Patricia Sauza, Naj for short. I graduated with high honors in high school last March, so unfortunately I am expected to reach higher in college. Dammit, excellence and over-achieving genes.

I love photography, dancing, reading and food, amongst all.

Parties on May 1

Today is May 1. Many people just celebrated their birthday today. I was both lucky and unlucky to be invited to two kid's birthday parties. I was lucky because I got to have free meals twice, enjoy the company of kids as young as two years old and bring home lots of food! On the other hand, I was unlucky, and so I exaggerate, because I was not able to work on my yearbook assignment and I got so tired it really felt like a long day!

Anyway, let me talk about the parties.
